Matt Lombardo, Executive Chef

No stranger to restaurants, chef Matt Lombardo hails from a long line of hospitality professionals. After graduating from the University of Vermont in 2012 with a degree in Business Administration and Entrepreneurship, Matt ventured west to ski and work before he planned to return to Boston to get a “real job.” Like countless others before and after him, Matt arrived in Jackson Hole and never left.

Matt initially started his culinary career working a variety of front-of-house positions, after which time he decided to marry his deeply rooted passion for cooking with his value for providing exceptional service by moving into the kitchen. With the pursuit of passion guiding him, Matt was soon offered a job working the fryer at The Kitchen. His obvious culinary talent expedited his upward movement and eventually landed him the position of Sous Chef at The Kitchen. Now leading the kitchen at Bin22, Matt brings both incredible talent and charisma to each culinary experience – a passion for food that can be tasted in each dish that leaves the kitchen.

When he’s not working, Matt can be found outside – skiing, biking, climbing – or doing pretty much anything that could lead to a possible adventure.
